KCI

In December 2018, at COP24 in Katowice, Poland, the Conference of the Parties established the Katowice Committee of Experts on the Impacts of the Implementation of Response Measures (KCI). The KCI is comprised of fourteen members, with two members from each of the five United Nations regional groups, one member from the least developed countries, one member from the small-island developing States, and two members from relevant intergovernmental organizations.

The KCI committee of experts supports the Forum on the Implementation of Response Measures and offers a space for countries to address both the negative and positive impacts of mitigation action both domestically and internationally.

The International Council on Environmental Economics and Development (ICEED) regularly attends the KCI committee meetings.
