Representative to the United Nations, Senior Director & Head of International Strategy, International Council on Environmental Economics and Development (ICEED). He also serves as Senior Fellow at the Institute of Geoeconomics (International House of Japan), Senior Fellow at the NATO Defense College Foundation, Co-Director for UK–EU Energy Security at Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs), and Advisor on Climate Crisis Strategy at the Yale School of the Environment.
David Kazunao Meyer is a global strategist working at the intersection of energy security, economic security, and AI governance. At ICEED, he leads international strategy and represents the organization to the United Nations, working with governments, international organizations, and multinational corporations on policy design and institutional frameworks.
He has worked across the private sector, international organizations, and global policy environments, including Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting and Dentsu, where he serves as Senior Strategy Director responsible for global strategy and cross-border initiatives.
He has been actively involved in major international frameworks, including the United Nations (UNEP, UNFCCC), OECD (AI expert community), the Council of Europe (AI Committee), and UNECE (automated driving-related forums), contributing to both policy development and real-world implementation.
He is currently leading long-term international policy initiatives integrating AI, energy, and economic security, focusing on building next-generation policy and talent infrastructures across public and private sectors.
