SCF
The Standing Committee on Finance (SCF) is a sub-committee of the UNFCCC. At the sixteenth session of the Conference of Parties (COP16) in Cancún, Mexico, the Parties established the Standing Committee on Finance (SCF) to assist the COP in exercising its functions in relation to the financial mechanism of the Convention. Activities of the SCF include mobilization of financial resources, enhancing coherence and coordination in the delivery of climate change financing, and measurement, reporting, and verification of financial support provided to developing country Parties. SCF forums connect the UNFCCC with public and private entities involved in climate finance issues at global, regional, and national levels.
The International Council on Environmental Economics and Development (ICEED) is a permanent observer of the Standing Committee on Finance and regularly attends SDF’s meetings and forums.
